나: 라이언, 숙제 할 거 좀 남았니?

A: Ryan, do you have any homework left?

가: 아니요, 엄마. 다 끝냈어요.

B: No, Mom. I finished it all.

끝내다 : to finish

나: 벌써? 선생님께서 숙제를 많이 내 주셨다면서. 그걸 벌써 다 했어? 역시 우리 아들이야!

A: Already? You said your teacher gave you a lot of homework. You got it done already? That’s my boy!

~다면서(요) : 'you said that...', 'I thought you were...' or 'I thought you said you were...'

역시 :  'as expected', 'also', 'too', 'as well'

가: 고마워요, 엄마. 지금 영화 봐도 돼요?

B: Thank you, Mom. Can I watch a movie now?

나: 그래라. 텔레비전에서 무료 영화를 골라 봐.

A: Okay. Choose a free one on TV.

가: 네, 걱정 마세요. 돈 내는 건 안 볼게요.

B: Yeah, don’t worry. I won’t pay for one.

1) 너 ~가 좀 남아 있니?

Do you have any ~ left?

- 너 동전 좀 남았니?

Do you have any coins left?

- 너 달러 좀 남아 있어?

Do you have any dollars left?

- 너 먹을 거 좀 남아 있니?

2) ~에게 숙제를 많이 내 주다

give ~ a lot of homework

- 우리 수학 선생님이 숙제를 많이 내 주셨어.

My math teacher gave me a lot of homework.

- 그분이 오늘 우리에게 숙제를 많이 내 주셨어.

She gave us a lot of homework today.

- 선생님께서 숙제를 많이 내 주셨니?

Did your teacher give you a lot of homework?

3) 끝내다, 마치다

get it done

- 나 방금 그거 다했어.

I just got it done.

- 너 그거 오늘 끝낼 수 있어?

Can you get it done today?

- 우리 그거 오래 전에 다 끝냈어.

We got it done a long time ago.
