가 : 그러니까, 마음에 드세요? 이 프로젝트 하느라 힘들었어요.

A : So how do you like it? I had a hard time on this project.

그러니까 : so

마음에 들다 : be to one´s liking

(하)느라 : "while~ing" or "~ing"

나 : 음, 당신이 생각하는 것만큼 그렇게 나쁘진 않아요.

B : Well, it’s not as bad as you think.

만큼 : as much as

가 : 정말요? 감사합니다. 안심이 되네요.

A : Really? Thank you. What a relief.

안심이 되다 : feel relief

나 : 아주 잘하고 있어요. 제 생각에 당신은 큰 가능성을 가지고 있고 계속 발전할 거예요. 지금처럼 열심히 하세요.

B : You’re doing a great job. I think you have great potential and will continue to improve.

가능성 : potential

나 : 말하기 대회 하는 거? 응.

B : For the speech contest? Yes.

가 : 그거 할 시간이 충분해? 우리 과제물이 꽤 많잖아, 그래서….

A : Do you have enough time for it? We have quite a lot of assignments, so… 

충분하다 : enough

과제물 : assignment, homework

꽤 : quite

나 : 난 과제물은 학교 도서관에서 끝내려고 해. 그리고 에세이는 주로 밤늦게 집에서 작업을 하지.

B : I try to finish all my assignments in the school library. And I work on the essay mainly at home late at night.

(으)려고 하다 : try to

가 : 졸립지 않아?

A: Aren’t you sleepy?

졸립다 : sleepy

나: 아니요, 그렇지 않습니다, 하지만 팁을 주시면 감사하죠.

B: No, it’s not, but it’d be appreciated if you do.

가: 그렇군요. 그건 그렇고, 어디서 환전을 할 수 있죠?

A: I see. By the way, where can I exchange money?

그건 그렇고 : by the way (그런데)

나: 이 근처에 있는 호텔 아무데서나요.

B: At any hotel around here.

A: Ryan, do you have any homework left?

가: 아니요, 엄마. 다 끝냈어요.

B: No, Mom. I finished it all.

끝내다 : to finish

나: 벌써? 선생님께서 숙제를 많이 내 주셨다면서. 그걸 벌써 다 했어? 역시 우리 아들이야!

A: Already? You said your teacher gave you a lot of homework. You got it done already? That’s my boy!

~다면서(요) : 'you said that...', 'I thought you were...' or 'I thought you said you were...'

역시 :  'as expected', 'also', 'too', 'as well'

가: 고마워요, 엄마. 지금 영화 봐도 돼요?

B: Thank you, Mom. Can I watch a movie now?

나: 그래라. 텔레비전에서 무료 영화를 골라 봐.

A: Okay. Choose a free one on TV.

가: 네, 걱정 마세요. 돈 내는 건 안 볼게요.

B: Yeah, don’t worry. I won’t pay for one.
